Trichomoniasis
Trichomoniasis is caused by organisms called trichomonas vaginalis, and is a sexual transmitted disease. Trichomoniasis is a very common and curable disease in many young people. 7.4 cases of Trichomoniasis have been reported. men will experience pain in urinating and ejaculation, some discharge, and irritation in the penis. Women will experience discolored discharge with strong odor, pain when urinating and during sex, and the most rare symptom which is lower abdomen pain. Doctors can perform physical and lab test to see if you are infected with the disease. Trichomoniasis can be treated with the antibiotic metronidazole. Condoms can also help prevent the disease along with having few sexual partners and avoiding sex. Trichomoniasis can also increase the chance of being infected with HIV.
