Hepatitis can be cause by drinking too much alcohol along with immune cells attacking the liver causing autoimmune hepatitis. Overdose on medication contain acetaminophen. Signs and symptoms include fever, breast development in men, fatigue, itching, dark urine, yellowing in the skin or eyes, loss of appetite, and weight loss. Doctors can test for enlarge liver, ascites, yellowing of skin, and other laboratory test. Treatment depends on hepatitis types and support group for those with hepatitis. Damage to liver can take place along with liver cancer and failure. People with hepatitis shouldn't share personal items and wash hands often.
