Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) affects women reproductive systems and leads to irreversible damage on the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, or other parts of your reproductive systems. Symptoms include high fever, pain during sex, abnormal discharge, chills, nausea and vomiting, numbness and pain in the abdomen. Women with other sexual transmitted diseases have a higher chance of developing PID. Women with a history of PID have a higher risk of developing it again, along with sexually active teenagers have an increased chance versus older women. PID is curable using anti-biotics and/or surgery.
