Pubic lice
Pubic lice is often referred to as crabs, in some cases it can be sexually transmitted. Pubic lice can also infect other body hairs. Pubic lice can be treated at home. Sometimes people experience no symptoms of pubic lice, the most common symptom and sign is itching and scratching which mostly takes place at night when the lice is active. Scratching can make it worse because it can help spread the lice along with causing an infection if skin becomes raw. In children, pubic lice can cause irritation and also infection in the eyelids. Pubic lice can be prevented from making no sexual contact. Some believe it can be prevented with condoms but there is still a chance you can get them because condoms don't protect pubic hair, which is how pubic lice can be contracted. If a member of your family has pubic lice be sure to prevent it from spreading by washing affected places such as towels, sheets, etc. with very hot water and hot drying cycles. Pubic lice can also be treated by medication from doctors or over-the-counter medicines.
